The Chief is a licensed tug boat that runs. It has a xxxx model xxxx hp Universal 8 cyl diesel direct reversing motor. The low rpm motor will last almost forever. It has diesel gensets and a diesel air compressor. It has two staterooms a galley, salon and wheelhouse. It is old, but has great character and beautiful bronze historic equipment in the wheelhouse. It was operated by the Army in WWII It was repowered in xxxx and shortly thereafter towed a destroyer from SF to Portland at about 3 kn. It has quite an 85 year history. Asbestos has been removed.
Wood tug boat built in xxxx. Hull is wood with steel supported shoulders. Main engine is an Enterprise Dmg 38 which is direct reversing engine, has spool compressor for air starts and steering. Was a live aboard until 2 years ago but still did tows with it throughout that time. Can by a fully functional tug boat or live aboard conversion.
Owner isso confident in how she runs that he will deliver anywhere in Pac NW for only expenses of fuel travel food. Owner will start the engines for the buyer after the broker receives a small down payment to make sure the buyer is serious. If the motors do nor run, the deposit is returned.
