JAILBIRD- "THE INVITATION"
We have worked on "The Invitation" for 2 years, during which we have seen the music slowly build support and gain momentum among a wide and diverse audience. Raising $20,000 through various channels to purchase a studio we are now reaching out so we can finish the album and bring it to a massive audience.
However, there are a lot of expenses involved with getting an album out to the world on a large scale. We need to make an extensive marketing campaign, tour, travel, and hire publicists. At a bare minimum, we need to raise $25,000.100% of the money raised will go towards our efforts to bring the album to as wide an audience as possible.
Thanks for your support, we really appreciate it.
Jailbird Biography:
Jailbird Biography: Jeff Sayer began his journey on August 29, xxxx and was raised in a sleepy little town on the outskirts of Washington State’s capital, Olympia. Rainier, or “Woodcide” as it is known within his circle, is a small town with a population of less than xxxx that offers very little to occupy a mind with as voracious an appetite for artistic and intellectual stimulation as Jeff’s. Consequently, he spent many of his teen years flirting with detention centers, house arrests and being on and off of probation. It was during this period of his life that he earned his stage name, Jailbird. Early on in Jailbird’s life, through all the turmoil, he discovered that he enjoyed art in its many faces and facets. Moreover, he discovered that he had a notable talent in many of the artistic disciplines. Through the cultivation of his talents, he managed to break the cycle of delinquency as well as lay the foundation for what is now a flourishing career in musical and artistic expression. The unique way that he saw the world became vividly illustrated in his drawings and air-brushings. It was also his same vision of the world and how we interact with it that would be the fuse that facilitated his explosion onto the music scene in xxxx when he dropped his first album, Blaze It Up. Though he was quite involved in the underground Hip-hop movement of the xxxx’s, Blaze It Up marked his emancipation within the local scene and authoritatively announced, “I am Jailbird and I have arrived!” As he delved deeper into the hip hop world and its unique culture, Jailbird began exploring every aspect of the process and the industry. Where many hip hop artists are content to remain inside their comfort zone, namely rapping and singing, Jailbird intrepidly immersed himself in the production and promotion of himself and his product. Armed with a remarkable pension for words and language matched only by his determination and unwavering belief in his abilities and his music, he continued evolving as an artist, releasing his second full length album, Sacrifice, in xxxx. The following year, all of his effort and dedication reached a boil culminating in the release of the self-produced and appropriately titled, Make It Happen. His unique voice and delivery, masterfully intertwined with his bold lyrics and smooth beats, set it head and shoulders above his contemporaries and truly made it an album to remember. When hearing his albums chronologically, a listener quickly sees how Jailbird’s music has, with all the character of a fine wine, sonically blossomed and matured into the precisely dialed-in sound that it is today - and the evolution continues as methodically and relentlessly as its natural counterpart. After combining his unique style and skill with a hand-selected team of loyal managers, engineers, sponsors and friends inside the crucible of a hyper-competitive industry, Jailbird has forged himself into a razor-sharp dagger of Hip-Hop fury. His new album, The Invitation, is set for release in the spring of xxxx and has already generated a palpable buzz in the local music scene. As more and more of the pieces fall into place for this artist, who is equal parts ambitious and humble, aggressive and empathetic, the possibilities are endless and the confines of imposed limitations are lifted forever. He is Jailbird, a finely tuned instrument of Hip-hop music, and he is here to stay!
Jailbird has a strong performance background dating back to his first show in which he mesmerized over 500 people at the age of 14. Jailbird has gone on to perform with the likes of Tech N9ne, Young Buck, The Roots, Digital Underground, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, the Luniz, Rob Base, DJ EZ Rock, The Souls of Mischief and the 2 Live Crew.
