Director, Property Product Research, Product Development & Solutions - Diversified Global Property in Seattle, Washington For Sale
Individual filling this role will drive product development for our current and next generation products, working closely with a wide variety of teams to ensure it positions company for profitable growth of our Home, Condominium and Renters lines. Under minimal direction, this role will lead projects and provide analytical assessments of complex issues facing the business unit. This includes regularly presenting work to Directors, VPs, and SVPs, the Chief Product Officer, and periodically the division s President. The role will also independently lead and organize cross-functional project teams and build buy-in among all impacted constituents. Research data and provide innovative solutions and recommendations on product strategies. Manage highly complex initiatives often involving multiple departments and functional areas. The role is responsible for all aspects of project, including: strategic direction, research, analytics, project management, organizational & leadership buy-in, execution and monitoring. This individual will function as a mentor to analysts, helping guide and teach the broader team.Responsibilities: Manage highly complex projects from idea through execution. Enhance and create new coverages, bundles, and features. Manage the base contract, cost guide, and other coverage aspects of our product. Create new product strategies and product concepts, individually and through influence. Manage, drive, and rollout complex enhancements and new products countrywide. Lead cross-functional teams across the organization. Regularly create power points with recommendations and business impacts. Frequently prepare and deliver presentations to senior management. Research and conduct analysis of metrics to answer complex business questions. Develop and evaluate cost/benefit analyses to project market size and benefit. Create and implement new product concepts and solutions that drive profit and growth. Represent property product on key initiatives across multiple groups. Understand industry and competitive market trends impacting our products. Synthesize, interpret, and present solutions based on data. Mentor and teach analysts on the team, may also manage interns.Qualifications: Bachelor s degree or equivalent in business, mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative or business-related field. Masters degree a plus. Minimum 7 years, typically 10 years or more of relevant experience. Experience working on cross-functional & organization-wide projects. Expert in conveying research, ideas, and proposals through slides. Polished and poised presenter, comfortable presenting to executive audiences. Self-starter able to conduct complex analysis with little direction. Creative and innovative individual who can drive solutions in ambiguous environment. Exceptional analytical, communication, decision-making, and project planning skills. Strong problem-solving skills and business acumen. Experienced in mentoring others. Expert in MS Excel and PowerPoint. Industry knowledge developed from general industry experience, news alerts, project-specific work, and proactive research into competitor strategies.
