I am driving up to Seattle, arriving around January 20th. I am looking to rent a room in an apartment shared by others or an apartment of my own, and I am okay with a sublet to start out or just jumping into a permanent situation. I am open to almost anywhere in the Seattle area, since I currently work remotely, but ideally would not be more than an hour away (for example, Tacoma is not ideal). I have excellent credit (802 as of yesterday) and references and currently work remotely for NYU as the managing editor of an academic journal, as well as taking on the occasional event management gig. I am 35, have an MPH and love doing good well as traveling, taking photos, eating good food (though I have a shameful weakness for Little Debbie snacks), and hiking. I also have an adorable cat, Maya, I consider myself a great roommate if you are looking for someone who is friendly but respectful, neat but not OCD, and lives on the tamer side of life (I did much of my heavy partying long ago and now prefer things like group dinners or a night with Netflix). I am looking for a place to call home that is open to having a cat around, does not allow cigarette smoking and is friendly but not the neighborhood frat house (though I'm perfectly fine with a party now and then and don't have an issue with house guests that don't overstay their welcome).
