Amazon PR is seeking a highly:intelligent, high:judgment, self:motivated and creative public relations professional to join our global communications team in Seattle to lead and support high visibility public relations initiatives for AmazonA?s physical locations: Amazon Campus, AmazonA?s pickup locations in college communities, and Amazon Books. The successful candidate should have demonstrated expertise in media relations, leadership experience, as well as an entrepreneurial and goal:oriented approach. He/she should be a strategic thinker and enjoy working in a fast:paced, start:up culture. Key Responsibilities:Support in the creation and implementation of strategic publicity plans that drive awareness for Amazon Campus locations.Support Amazon Books PR plans.Write press releases; pitch and secure top media, including print, broadcast and online outlets.Build excellent relationships with key media.Collaborate with internal stakeholder teams to drive successful program launches.Research and integrate industry news, trends and compelling angles into PR programsSuccessfully manage complex, fast:moving and unexpected communications challenges.Effectively represent Amazon as spokesperson.The successful candidate will:Minimum of 5 years of public relations experience.Expertise in consumer and/or retail PR.Have excellent written and oral communications skills.Be creative, and think big.High business acuteness.Be a team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.Possess an outstanding attention to detail.Have a strong bias for action and standards so high most people would find them unreasonable.
